Do you want to contribute to a circular future and aren’t afraid to rwork hard and physical?
As a production worker, you will work at the hub of an innovative recycling company, where end products are made from previously recycled materials. The delivered old products are compressed so that up to 5,500 kilos can be transported by truck to another location. Old products are dismantled at various factories in the Netherlands: foam, latex, and metal components are separated. These then return to the hub in Alphen aan den Rijn, where you will get to work. You start your workday by carefully processing these foam blocks. Using modern machines, you load the production equipment with the correct material. The blocks are ground in a flake mill, after which the material is mixed with glue in a special mixing chamber. The mass then goes into a fill cylinder, where it is compressed into a firm, uniform base.
Next comes an important quality step: the material is steamed to 100 degrees Celsius to kill bacteria and optimize the structure. You cut the rolls to size using machines, apply glue powder, and laminate them with paper or non-woven material. You then neatly finish the edges and prepare the end products for shipment. All of this is done by the machines, but you ensure that the necessary materials are available and perform physical tasks around the process. Since you are working with end materials, accuracy is extra important. The products are used as underlayments for carpets and insulation applications, primarily for export to countries such as England. You maintain a clean workspace, perform basic quality checks, and contribute to a smooth and sustainable production process.
The company operates in the recycling sector, processing residual waste into valuable end products for the home furnishing and insulation markets. The atmosphere is informal, down-to-earth, and results-driven. People work hard, but there’s always room for humor and good teamwork.
